We have an exciting opportunity for an **Environmental Sustainability Advisor** to join us to work with our telecommunications client, on a **Full Time** basis. The role can be based in our **Melbourne or Sydney (Macquarie Park)** office.

This role will work in conjunction with facility operating personnel (Facility Managers, BMS Operators, HSE Advisors, etc) at achieve outcomes.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

- Implementation of the Energy Management and Environmental Improvement Program
- Manage utility and energy reporting for analysis, budgeting and performance and generation.
- Track performance and the implementation of energy reduction measures.
- Design, prioritise and drive sustainability strategies
- Recommend to Facility Managers which energy measures should be focused on for further analysis and assist with implementation
- Coordinate training for staff on relevant energy topics
- Investigate and review assumptions, savings calculation methodology as well as technical and economic feasibilities and make recommendations
- Review energy analysis reports for presentation to the client and its approval
- Promote the installation of energy efficiency equipment and products, for deepening customer awareness of and participation in rebate programs and utilities energy efficiency program
- Suggest innovative solutions to reduce GHGe
- Develop, recommend, and implement solutions to eliminate pollution and environmental hazards
- Oversee waste disposal and pollution control programs, and make recommendations for improvements
- Internal stakeholder management, guidance and reporting in support of net Zero/emissions reduction goals
- Assist where required in developing or updating design standards to incorporate sustainability objectives
- Driving implementation of the Sustainable Asset Lifecycle and outcomes for sustainability as it relates to;
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Reactive maintenance
- Physical asset health and operational performance
- Asset lifecycle and end of life planning
- CAPEX / OPEX budgeting
- Global Warming Potential (GWP) of asset types
- Committed carbon through asset replacements

**Selection Criteria**
- A tertiary environmental engineering or environmental science degree or similar.
- Strong knowledge of WHS Act, Regulations and Codes
- Formal Qualifications in OHS
- Knowledge of ISO 9000, AS/NZS 4801 and ISO 14001
- Drivers’ License, Police Clearance, Anti Money Laundering Clearance is essential
- Knows industry trends and best practice for Environment and energy. Proactively applies best practice initiatives
- Balances legislative and business needs in safety. Considers both the short and long term repercussions of all risk assessments and how they will impact upon operations
- Explores alternatives, understands broad implications and makes recommendations which are practical and results oriented.
- Strong ability to lead and influence management on environmental related issues.
- Manages conflict with empathy and integrity supporting harmonious relationships.
- Plans and manages projects according to set objectives, measure progress
- Individual must have flexibility and mobility. Must be willing to undertake travel inter/intrastate for short periods of time
- Ability to self-manage, work cooperatively and collaboratively with others and have a flexible approach to function effectively under pressure
- Proven ability to use own judgement to effectively manage workloads, take responsibility for and priorities tasks and clearly communicate when undertaking and delivering outcomes and services
- Experience in the delivery of presentations to various work groups.
