**About the College**

As a Catholic School, Thomas Carr College aims to educate our students with an appreciation of the spiritual as well as the intellectual and physical aspects of their lives. We aim to work with our parents to produce young people of faith and character. We are a Catholic Co-educational College in Tarneit, West of Melbourne with 1220 students.

**About the role**

The Careers Practitioner (Team Leader), upon appointment, will work as part of the College’s Careers Team, in leading and overseeing the provision of a holistic and dynamic careers service that supports supporting students in decision making relating to avenues for post-secondary study, pathways and careers.

The Careers Team at Thomas Carr College works closely with all stakeholders to support the individual career aspirations of every student. The Careers Education program at the College is delivered through a variety of channels, including careers in the curriculum, career counselling and vocational testing. This role will be to provide career information and advice to students, parents, staff and the school community.

A variety of inclusive opportunities and experiences occur at each year level in the Careers Program to ensure each student is equipped with the knowledge, skills and attributes to effectively manage their career and take their place with optimism in a globalised world.

The additional areas of responsibility are:
