**Position**: Steel Fixers and Concrete Finishers

**Hourly Rate**: $50/hr

**Duration**: Until the middle of next year

**Project Description**:
As a Steel Fixer or Concrete Finisher, you will be an integral part of our road restoration project in the vibrant Byron Bay Area. The project aims to enhance the safety and functionality of local roads, ensuring smoother transportation for residents and visitors alike. Your skills will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality concrete finishes and robust steel reinforcement, contributing to the longevity and durability of the restored roadways.

**Responsibilities**:

- Interpret and follow construction plans, specifications, and blueprints
- Measure and cut steel reinforcing bars to required lengths
- Position and secure steel bars or mesh in concrete forms
- Use various tools and equipment to place and finish concrete surfaces
- Smooth and shape surfaces using hand and power tools
- Inspect and repair concrete surfaces as necessary
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer or Concrete Finisher
- Solid knowledge of steel reinforcing techniques and concrete finishing methods
- Ability to interpret construction plans and blueprints
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to the trade
- Physical stamina and strength to handle manual labor tasks
- Attention to detail and a strong focus on quality workmanship
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
