We are currently looking for 2 highly motivated and quick-learning Compliance Analysts to join a collaborative team where your growth/development will be supported.

Reporting to the Compliance Manager, Australia and New Zealand, this role involves investigating and reviewing all Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and sanctions related cases (e.g. PEPs, SIPs, GAITs, Enhanced Due Diligence, etc.) within the required timeframes as part of the AML Transaction Monitoring Program. It also involves proactively providing effective and timely Compliance advice to all lines of business by analysing legislative and regulatory compliance requirements (with a predominant focus on the AML Program) and translating those requirements into efficient operational processes, policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information
- Participate in Compliance monitoring programs to ensure compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as with internal American Express policies and procedures
- Conduct ongoing Compliance training
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of relevant laws and regulations affecting the Australian and New Zealand markets
- From time to time, review and provide Compliance sign-off on advertising and marketing material, business proposals, policies and procedures, and other related documents

**Minimum Qualifications**:

- Experience within Compliance or related functions preferred
- e.g. legal, internal audit, risk management
- Knowledge of financial services/products and related compliance requirements, in particular Anti-Money Laundering obligations
- Knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements in Australia and New Zealand preferred, including knowledge of Consumer Credit laws, Competition and Consumer law and Privacy law
- Aptitude for analysis, investigation and problem solving, including devising commercially-oriented compliance solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to partner with business units and influence key stakeholders
- Qualifications with the Australasian Compliance Institute are desirable
