D4C is a consortium comprising of John Holland, Service Stream and WSP. We provide long term employment opportunities to diversify the skills of the people of the southern region of Sydney as well as creating pathways to enter the water industry.
D4C is seeking a supervisor to join our Major Periodic Maintenance (MPM) team to deliver excellence in the major maintenance and upgrades of assets across the Southern Region.
What this role will entail?
Effectively and efficiently coordinate on-site trades and non-trades employees, plant resources and subcontractor to deliver the scope of work in accordance with maintenance plans and specifications whilst at all times adhering to all safety, quality and environmental processes and procedures.
As a MPM Supervisor, you'll be responsible for the onsite supervision of maintenance activities relating to the MPM annual program of works. Your day-to-day tasks will include but are not limited to:
- Provide and take leadership responsibility for onsite health, safety, quality and environmental management.
- Travel to and supervise works at any of the Sydney Water sites in the South Region spanning from Sydney Harbour to Kiama/Jamberoo.
- Contribute to the development of work methods and to the planning of daily/weekly activities.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed.
- Complete progress reporting for your line manager as required.
- Manage delivery of onsite works to the agreed timelines and as per the scope whilst keeping your line manager informed of any delays as they arise.
- Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, ensuring all parties performing activities have completed relevant task risk assessments, start cards and/or safe work method statement. Ensure controls are maintained throughout delivery of the tasks.
- Provide support to the onsite delivery team and drive performance.
**Essential Requirements**:
- Trade qualification or similar
- 2-5 years previous supervision experience in a similar role.
- Substantial Industry trade experience in performing maintenance tasks
- Demonstrated leadership in health, safety, quality and environmental management
- Self-starter with excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
- Client relationship and stakeholder management experience
- Competent with MS office
- Drivers licence
- White card
This role is important to the delivery of the annual MPM program. We are looking for someone who has a can-do, positive attitude, who is consultative and able to get things done.
