**Overview**

The Women's and Children's Health Network provides state of the art health care for women and children in Adelaide and South Australia.

We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions and SA's largest maternity and obstetric service. We also provides important community-based services, of which the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is an integral part.

**About the Role**

Within the framework of the _National Mental Health Policy _and the _Standards for Mental Health Services_ and in a manner consistent with the stated _Vision_ and _Values_ of the Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN) the CAMHS Clinician provides clinical expertise for children, adolescents and their families with mental health issues. The CAMHS Therapist primarily provides direct expert care for an individual or group of clients and/or providing clinical leadership to multidisciplinary staff.

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified and registered (with the appropriate regulatory body) Clinical Nurse (RN2) Psychologist (AHP2) Occupational Therapist (AHP1 or AHP2) and Social Worker (AHP1 or AHP2) to join the Northern Metropolitan Team.

For **Allied Health Professionals**, in this role you will be providing a Therapeutic/Clinical Assessment and Intervention Service to a client base consisting of children, adolescents and their families by:

- Undertaking the assessment of, and the development of formulations for, both individuals and families, using knowledge and techniques available from a variety of therapeutic approaches, in order to determine the most appropriate interventions.
- Implementing individual, family and/or other group therapies and other specific programs using a range of models and skills as a single practitioner and/or as part of a multidisciplinary approach.
- Undertake discipline specific assessments as appropriate
- Providing written reports in a clear, concise manner that is readily understood by both consumers and professionals.
- Present at and/or contribute to multidisciplinary reviews

For Mental Health **Nursing Professionals** you will be directly delivering proficient mental health nursing clinical care to clients and their families using evidence based practice by:

- Promoting and working within a nursing model of client centred care
- The assessment, planning, implementation and co-ordination of care/appropriate service delivery options by the use of advance knowledge, evidences and own experience to achieve agreed patient care outcomes.
- Active participation in monitoring client care plans and participates in clinical review programmes/audits to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- The provision of health education, therapeutic interventions, counselling and rehabilitation programs to improve mental health outcomes.
- Clinical documentation records are maintained in accordance with organisational policy.
- Development of partnerships both internal and external to support quality patient needs and outcomes.
