**Role Purpose**
This role requires a highly organised, motivated Sheetmetal Worker with an ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment, communicate information clearly, and keep a constant focus on work requirement
**Role Duties**
- Ensure adherence to quality, occupational health & safety policies, procedures & work instructions.
- Able to MIG & TIG Weld Steel, Aluminum & Stainless steel & finish/polish welds as required.
- Able to accurately measure, mark, safely stack & handle structural steel.
- Ability to adhere to client specifications, decipher workshop drawings and meet Australian Standards.
- Ability to identify and utilize appropriate materials and equipment for Sheetmetal product manufacture.
- Strong work ethic and willing to work autonomously.
- Ability to problem solve technical aspects of industrial Sheetmetal projects.
- Maintain good inventory practices; assist with stock takes, cycle counts, and housekeeping.
- Good communication and numeracy skills. Ensure enquiries and concerns are promptly followed up by phone, electronically or in person.
- Considers the impact of words and behavior when interacting with others.
- Ensure good Housekeeping practices are implemented and followed.
- Carry out any other duties or activities as directed and as necessary to achieve successful outcomes.
**Contact with Others**
You will be in constant communication and contact with sub-ordinates, fellow employees, customers and suppliers (on occasion). This contact is essential and an integral part of the success of the position and business.
**Education, Experience, Skills & Qualifications**
**Education**:School Certificate or equivalent, Trade qualified in Heavy Gauge, Structural Steel or Boiler Maker
**Experience**:Min 3 years experience in similar role or environment
**Special Skills, Knowledge and/or Abilities**:
- Skilled in communication, teamwork, planning and organising.
- Have an attention to detail
- Knowledge of Occupation Health and Safety requirement essential
- Product knowledge an advantage
- Have good interpersonal skills such as listening skills, persuasiveness and an all round team player
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks according to company policies
- Skilled in problem analysis and problem-solving
- Resilient and stress tolerant
- **Licenses and Certifications Essential**:
- Driver’s License
- License to perform High Risk Work (Forklift)
**Salary**: $34.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 per week
