**About Us**:
The Wansey Centre is the largest dialysis facility within the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) and forms part of the Hunter's Home and Satellite Dialysis Services under John Hunter Hospital. The Dialysis Technical Service, operating within the HNELHD Renal Network, provides equipment services to multiple dialysis centres and home dialysis patients. Located in Charlestown, the centre is open from Monday to Saturday, 7am to 10pm, with free onsite parking available.

**About the Role**:
The Dialysis Technician is responsible for performing maintenance, assessments, and providing technical support for a range of specialized equipment with limited supervision. This includes conducting routine and preventative maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs to ensure the optimal functionality of dialysis equipment. The role involves working with a variety of medical and scientific instruments that may include electronic, electrical, or electromechanical components. The successful applicant will play a key role in the education and training of nursing staff and home dialysis patients, offering expert guidance on the technical aspects of dialysis equipment to ensure proper operation. Mentoring and support will be provided from the team, including guidance from the Senior Dialysis Technician. Additionally, training will be provided to become credentialed on the equipment, ensuring you are fully prepared for the role.

**About you**:

- Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
- Proven ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Proficiency in using computers for diagnostics.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW with a current unrestricted driver’s license, along with the ability and willingness to travel for work purposes, which may involve long-distance driving.
- Ability to participate in the on-call roster.
