**Job Description**:
**What you'll be doing**:
In a nutshell you will be responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of all rooms, facilities and common areas of the property. You must love working with people, have a get-up-and-go attitude and be someone who won’t stop until the job is completed in a safe and presentable manner. Ideally you will have experience with property maintenance and preventative maintenance programs whilst a trade qualification is a bonus.

This full-time position will require **weekend work** with some flexibility to change working days if required.

Tasks and responsibilities include:

- Performing general maintenance and repairs to the hotel
- Repairing, patching, and painting walls
- Small tiling jobs, grouting, sealing
- Plastering & furniture repair work
- Minor plumbing repairs such as replacing tap washers
- Conducting daily checks on plant and equipment
- Liaising with other tradesman and contractors who are doing work in the hotel

**Qualifications**:
**What we're looking for**:

- Previous Duty Technician or Handyperson experience in a hotel or customer service environment preferred, but not essential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A well-rounded skill set and a passion for high quality workmanship
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise work
- Occupational Health and Safety knowledge
- Reliable, punctual and well-presented

**Hourly rates of pay**:

- Monday to Friday - $27.00
- Saturday - $33.75
- Sunday - $40.50
- Public Holidays - $60.75
