Fitter (General)

Our Client, Kestma PTY LTD trading as W Coole Mechanical are looking for experienced and qualified Fitter (General)/Diesel Fitter-Mechanic to join our team in Dandaragan WA 6507.

In the workshop or out in the field, you will be expected to engage with other mechanics/fitters and clients in a positive way. A strong aptitude for mathematics and physics, as well as IT and diagnostic skills, are essential. Familiarity with maintenance and repair tools, will be essential.

This role necessitates at times the ability to work alone in a safe and efficient manner, as well as the knowledge and capability to perform offsite field service work. As our Fitter (General)/Diesel Fitter-Mechanic, you will perform mechanical inspections and repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications:

- Remove and replace components - o CAT, Detroit, Cummins engines o Final drives o Transmissions o Radiators
- Basic fabrication of parts and engineering
- o Welding (TIG, MIG) o Lathe Work o Oxy Cutting
- Light vehicle servicing and repairs.
- Heavy vehicle serving and repairs.
- Genset serving and repairs.
- Diagnostic procedures on various systems
- o AC o Hydraulic o Pneumatic o Electrical

Other workshop requirements include, but are not limited to, adhering to OHS guidelines and following all machine and equipment safety standards. Also, use online time tracking and keep a detailed record of serviced vehicles.

Full time, permanent position for qualified Fitter (General)/Diesel Fitter-Mechanic. Monday to Friday with some weekend work. Flexible hours ranging from 8-12 hour days. Overtime and other allowances all paid as per the award.

Salary will be $70,000 - $80,000 per annum.
