- **Permanent part-time working 15 hours per week**
- The Consultant contributes to the provision of advanced clinical services including laparoscopic and robotic colorectal surgical procedures to patients of The Queen Elizabeth Hospital
- The Consultant is required to contribute to the provision of gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures to patients of The Central Adelaide Local Health Network including the ability to perform colonoscopies without formal anaesthetic support in line with local practice.
- The Consultant is required to participate in a roster to provide emergency surgical services for The Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
- Contribute to the provision of high quality consultative, operative and procedural care for patients under the care of the Colorectal Unit.
- Oversee the collection and audit of clinical data and monitoring outcomes and the development of an active clinical research program.
- Promotes and leads research, including participation in research activities at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital
- Assigning and supervising the clinical practice of trainee medical officers.

**Qualification**
- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
- Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with specialist registration; or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award.
- FRACS (or equivalent) in area of specialty.
