**The Business**
Our client is a leader in the manufacturing and logistics industries who are looking to continually grow their Australian operations. They are diversified in their product offerings and service some of the largest heave industry clientele globally. There head office is based out of Melbourne with various factories scattered cross the east coast of Australia.
**The Role**
Reporting in the Manager for WHS and focussing on one site your role will include:
- Drive the strategic health and safety management plan
- Constantly review and develop the health and safety management system
- Assist site leaders with policies, procedures, standards
- Audit of tasks for improvement
- Conduct site training for health and safety initiatives
- Incident investigations and report findings
- Ensure the site is complying the legislation
**Skills and Experience**
As a proactive safety person your main experience will be around implementing and upgrading health and safety in a high-risk environment. You will be an ambitious and keen to make your mark on the health and safety of the site.
- 5+ years' experience in health and safety management
- Previously shown to improve WHS management systems.
- Good understanding of industry standards and legislation in your jurisdiction
- Experience in high risk environments, preferably mining, manufacturing, Oil & Gas
