A career changing and an incredible employment opportunity is now available to join the Women's and Children's Health team in the role of Midwifery Manager. This is a Permanent Full Time role working Monday to Friday.

The Midwife Manager provides the Clinical, Operational and Professional Nursing and Midwifery leadership to the Women’s and Children’s Division including Maternity, Paediatrics and Neonatal Intensive Care unit to facilitate the effective safe operations of the services.

The Role is responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of the service. Overall, the role is to manage and lead the team, systems and effective service delivery which encompasses business planning, financial, human resources and financial accountabilities for the service.

This position is also accountable for promoting, facilitating and providing clinical governance to enhance best care outcomes for Women and their Families and, to ensure safe Nursing and Midwifery practice standards are maintained, which includes leading evidence based professional practice, ensuring management of staffing resources matches demand and, the oversight of capacity and variance management planning.

**What you will bring to the role**:

- Current Midwifery Registration with AHPRA without conditions
- Demonstrated Nursing/Midwifery knowledge and skills that support excellence in health outcomes and provision of safe care
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including complaints management
- Demonstrated experience managing human and financial resources effectively
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of the clinical governance requirements of a Tertiary Maternity and Neonatal Service
- Extensive Nursing /Midwifery leadership and management experience with proven ability to work in a complex and changing environment
- Demonstrated understanding of professional ethics, and experience leading a team
- Experience in leading quality improvement within Women’s and Children’s services including development of midwifery models of care
- Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa._
