The School of Psychology is a major teaching and research unit within the Faculty of the Arts, Social Sciences and Humanities (ASSH). The Meaningful Outcomes CRE was established in 2022. It brings together leading experts across Australia and internationally to improve the quality use of treatment outcome measurement in alcohol and other drugs (AOD) treatment services. The mission is to reduce the cost and burden of primary and comorbid AOD problems in Australia.

This position is for a highly motivated and high-performing research coordinator. The appointee will work in collaboration with researchers, partner organisations and other key stakeholders to coordinate research being conducted by Meaningful Outcomes, a National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC). This program of research is focused on improving treatment outcomes for people accessing alcohol and other drug treatment.

A primary responsibility for this role will be to coordinate a newly funded NHMRC randomised controlled trial (RCT) focused on reducing loneliness and understanding the client experience for people accessing alcohol and other drug treatment across Australia.
