The smart parking analyst will review and analyse the data gained from the smart parking
scheme. This analysis will be undertaken to provide insights on parking behaviours and
movements across the city and propose tactics to optimise the scheme with improving
technology, expanding the smart parking scheme and methods of increasing the smart
parking scheme’s uptake.

- Pay parking systems technology providers
- Community stakeholders in business and

tourism

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review and analyse the data gained through various sources from the smart parking

- Identifying typical parking behaviours, demographics and vehicle movements.
- Decipher key insights and proposing optimising tactics to fees, improving technology,

expanding the smart parking scheme and methods of increasing uptake.
- Format the analysed data and insights into digestible content and presentations that

can be presented to both internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Develop cost benefit analysese for smart parking optimisation and expansion to new

locations with the city.
- Provide key insights into visitor movements to both Council planning teams and local

business and tourist operators to optimise their approaches.
- Tracking the cost and benefits of all active smart parking functions, extrapolating

detailed projections over-time which allows for budgeting and resource allocation.
- Using the smart parking data, inform the most optimum enforcement and compliance

routes to better manage the adherence of smart parking scheme users.
- Provide insights and optimising routes for enforcement and compliance measures.

**Workplace Health & Safety**

Ensure compliance with WHS obligations and responsibilities as outlined in Councils
policies and procedures and under the relevant WHS legislation. These include but are
not limited to: identifying potentially unsafe situations or work practices and notifying your
Supervisor or Manager (or the Health, Safety Manager/Area Safety Representative);
never performing a task that you believe is dangerous or for which you do not have the
experience, or have not received appropriate instructions and training or where the correct
equipment to carry out the task safely is not available; always work in a safe manner and
in accordance with safety instructions, where applicable; use the work equipment supplied
for the job, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions), and any personal
protective equipment, which the Council deems necessary and has provided; be safety
aware and report any actions to your line manager which will assist the Council to meet
its legal workplace health and safety obligations.

**Compliance & Risk**

You are responsible for ensuring that you conduct your risk management responsibilities
as described in council's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Policy and Procedure (the
ERM Framework) with the goal of ensuring that potential issues are identified and reported
in a timely manner.

In undertaking your work should you identify contaminated land or potentially
contaminated land, including but not limited to Asbestos contamination you are required
to notify your supervisor immediately.

Ensure Workplace Ensure, model, comply and co-operate with Workplace Health and
Health and Safety Safety policies, procedures, instructions and safe systems of work.
Provide a work environment free from hazards and ensure the

health and safety of self, staff and other people affected by the
