**Cert IV WHS Trainer & Assessor**
Our client a leading RTO in Sydney, has requested a qualified Certificate IV Work Health & Safety trainer and assessor.
The course itself we have been informed is 1 day a week over 7 weeks, once that cohort has finished the next starts.
As a Certificate IV Work Health and Safety (WHS) trainer, your role would involve training individuals or groups in the principles and practices of work health and safety. This level of certification indicates that you have a comprehensive understanding of workplace health and safety standards and can effectively teach others about it.
Some of the key responsibilities and tasks you may have as a Certificate IV WHS trainer include:
Conducting Training Sessions: You would deliver training programs, workshops, and presentations on various aspects of work health and safety. This could include topics like hazard identification, risk assessment, emergency procedures, safety management systems, and legal compliance.
Using training materials and resources such as presentations, handouts, case studies, and assessments to facilitate learning and comprehension.
Providing Feedback and Support: Offering constructive feedback to learners to help them improve their understanding and skills. You may also provide additional support and guidance to those who need it.
Keeping Up with Regulations: Staying up-to-date with the latest WHS regulations, standards, and industry best practices to ensure the training content remains accurate and relevant.
Tailoring Training to Specific Industries: Adapting the training content to suit the specific needs and risks associated with different industries and workplaces.
Promoting Safety Culture: Encouraging a strong safety culture within organizations by fostering awareness, responsible behaviors, and proactive safety measures.
Maintaining Records: Keeping track of training attendance, assessments, and results to maintain proper records and compliance.
Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeking feedback from learners and employers to enhance the effectiveness of the training programs.
It's important for a WHS trainer to have excellent communication skills, a thorough understanding of workplace health and safety principles, and the ability to engage and motivate learners. Additionally, you should possess strong organizational skills to manage training sessions effectively and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $400.00 - $500.00 per day
