Based in Chermside, our client is seeking an Assembly Fitter for an immediate start.

Our client manufacture and supplies metal and plastic products to the irrigation, mining, and civil sectors Australia wide.

**What YOU Get**:
**PAY**: $34.50 p/h + OT + Super

**LOCATION**: Chermside, QLD

**HOURS**: Mon - Thu, 7am to 3:30pm & Friday, 7am to 1pm

**BONUS**: Temp to Perm opportunities available

**About the Role**:
Receive and interpret Work Orders and other process documentation authorising and describing the processing requirements of the company’s products
Select appropriate materials and components from stock necessary for the correct assembly of the company’s products
Ensure that the assembly and quality checking processes are undertaken in accordance with all instructions, procedures and industry standards to ensure that only quality products are released for sale.
Conduct assembly work in accordance with published production schedules
Minimise the generation of material scrap and waste and ensure all scrap material is processed for recycling in accordance with waste management procedures
Undertake product quality inspections and tests, interpret results, and take appropriate action relative to inspection and test outcomes
Ensure all required product labels, stencils and other markings are attached or made on completed assembled products
Close out Work Orders and other fabrication documentation in the prescribed manner
Preparing product components for dispatch to the external service provider for powder coating and receipt back into the site (as directed)
Pressure and leak testing completed assemblies

**THE ESSENTIALS YOU MUST HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED**:
A positive attitude to work and the ability to participate in a cooperative team environment is essential Good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with peers and supervisors

Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to enable reading and interpreting operating procedures, production documentation and measuring equipment is essential
Prior experience working in a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
On the job training and competency assessment in production techniques and plant operation will be provided to the incumbent
