**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**Position**

We are seeking an enthusiastic accounting student to join our Financial Services team. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, this position will provide high level assistance in providing professional accounting and administration support within the Financial Services section. Key focus areas will be to assist in the management of budget reviews and updates to Council’s long term financial plans and associated documents, and to support the delivery of annual financial statements in accordance with the relevant local government statutory requirements.

As a cadet, you will be required to be in your final year or penultimate / second final year of a Bachelor Degree majoring in Accounting or a similar discipline.***
