**About the role**

We have a full-time permanent position available in our Fostering team as a Case Worker.

We are looking for a sociable case worker to provide a welcoming and safe environment for children and young people by delivering support and advocacy, identifying their needs, and making appropriate referrals while reviewing and monitoring care plans. You will also help develop strategies to encourage ties to family and culture and expose kids and teens to internal and external cultural supports and services.

**About you**

***You’ll have a passion for supporting young people while also having:

- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications in Human Services (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience working with children and young people and an understanding of the Out of Home Care sector
- An understanding of issues related to children and young people who have experienced trauma and neglect
- An understanding of working with people from Aboriginal or CALD backgrounds
- Demonstrated ability to provide individualised/client centred practice
- Sound analysis, reporting and intervention skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication
- A positive attitude and a willingness to work in a team environment
- Full Drivers Licence
- 395 Check
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
