Champion Data has an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and ambitious Finance Officer to join our team
The Finance Officer will improve utilisation of current systems, processes and increase capacity in the team in expense management and general finance data input allowing current team members to optimise their knowledge/experience and achieve annual goals.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Expense management: Input of all expense data (invoices, credit card, bank payments) against budgeted GL code and budgeted department
- Reconciliation and collection of credit card, petty cash and fixed assets and report to stakeholders
- Accounts payable (banking) process, reconciliation and management
- Management and monthly reporting of all Racing Victoria JV expenses including hardware, casual wages, portions of permanent wages and oncosts
- Lead project to improve current utilisation of Xero focusing initially on Accounts Payable process with expectation that this role becomes a SME on Xero and continuously improves our use and reporting from Xero
- Lead the company in best practice/policies on payment process, spending, employee reimbursements/benefits
- Assists in financial projects lead by the CFO.
- Prepare the month end management accounts, including variance commendatory and circulate monthly department budget variance reports
- Create first draft of P&L and Balance sheets and broader management report
- Backup administrator of fortnightly and monthly payroll
- Assistance with all compliance and accounting lodgements and matters
- Preparation of quarterly Activity Statements
- Assistance with all elements of the international compliance lodgements required
**About You**
- Bachelor’s degree in business/commerce
- Expertise in Excel, competence in all other Microsoft Office products
- Familiarisation of Xero/Other Accounting systems favourable
- 2+ years of employment in a similar role with a proven record of advancement, higher duties and taking on increased responsibility

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
