**Position description**

The tasks of the postdoctoral researcher will include:

- Conduct world-class research in multimodal perception and reasoning for autonomous systems.
- Publish research findings in top-tier conferences and journals in AI, machine learning, and related fields.
- Mentor junior researchers and PhD students working on related projects within the partnership.

Outputs will include:

- A functional robotic system capable of performing complex tasks in dynamic environments, demonstrated through real-world deployments.
- Periodic technical reports and presentations to AIML and MITRE documenting the developed algorithms and system performance

**To be successful you will need**:
1. PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or a related field.

2. Strong background in multimodal learning, robotic vision, or natural language processing.

3. Proven track record of research excellence, evidenced by publications in top-tier conferences or journals

**Desirable characteristics**:

- Experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in real-world settings.

Preference will be given to Australian citizens or permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens.
