**Your role**:
The Support Worker is responsible for working with children and young people who may not be residing with their biological family, and who require additional within their Out of Home Care placement. The role may also support children and young people who are residing with family, and where intensive supports are in place. This role works within the Targeted Care Package (TCP) team, and alongside a Key Worker who manages the TCP supports.
This role will support children and young people with their daily living and community access and contribute to developing and implementing strategies to support positive behaviours. This position will also be part of a wider care team which has a primary focus on ensuring that the physical and emotional wellbeing of children and young people in out of care services is maximised.
**About You**:
- Well-developed organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, including clients, caregivers, and professional staff.
- Understanding of, and capacity to act according to the principles and intent of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
**Qualifications**
Minimum:
- Certificate IV in Community Services or Child, Youth and Family Intervention or Youth Work or similar.
- Full Victorian Drivers License.
Desirable:
- Diploma in Community Services, Youth Services or similar
