**What you’ll be doing**

We have some exciting opportunity available for a driven and collaborative Buying Assistant within our Homeware team This is a great chance to take your passion for Retail to a whole new level as well as advancing your career in Buying. These roles also provide an opportunity to progress into our fantastic Merchandise Development Programme (MDP).
Our teams are doing great things & taking Kmart product to a whole new level To assist us in getting there, we need incredible Buying Assistant to support us on this journey.

As a Buyers Assistant working for Kmart, you will support our Buyers in sourcing the best possible products that bring meaningful moments into our customers lives.

Some of the key responsibilities are:

- Managing the product registration process after sign off - from keycode creation
- Supporting the department by ensuring all data entry information is accurate, up to date and maintained.
- Liaising with and supporting a local supply base
- Provide market insights by assessing the competitive set on a regular basis and feedback to the team.
- Managing all marketing and coordination of samples for all advertising, including online
- Attend Supplier Sourcing meetings with the buyer and assist in range strategy planning First point of contact for department queries

We're looking for a driven, efficient and enthusiastic individuals who will bring a curious mind-set and a passion for all things Kmart You love delivering product, customers are always front of mind and building and managing relationships with a variety of key stakeholders is one of your strengths. We'd also love you to have:

- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage and interpret data Effective numerical, critical thinking and analytical skills
