We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Capital & Investments (Capital Raising & Funds Management) to lead a newly created investment and funds management business. This new venture is part of an already well established and highly successful private property development group that for the last 10 years, has specialised in large-scale master planned communities. As the Head of Capital & Investments, you will be responsible for developing and implementing investment strategies that align with the long term business objectives and risk management goals, with a particular focus on raising institutional capital. You will work closely with the executive team to identify and analyse investment opportunities and make informed decisions to optimize the portfolio.

The Strategy:
This group is already considered to be one of the largest private developers in Melbourne with a $6-7billion residential subdivision pipeline, and approx. 170ha of employment land in Victoria alone. The group are looking to roll out Build to Rent horizontal villages on super lots within existing larger communities and also purchase stand-alone BTR sites for this purpose. In addition to this, this group are looking to roll out a build-to-core Industrial development pipeline through an assortment of their existing landholdings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement investment strategies that align with the business objectives and risk profile goals, with a particular focus on raising institutional capital.
- Identify and analyse investment opportunities to optimize the portfolio and maximize returns.
- Work closely with the executive team to provide regular reports on portfolio performance and investment opportunities, with a particular focus on capital raising activities.
- Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and competitor activities to identify emerging trends and opportunities, focusing on institutional capital.
- Oversee the management of investment portfolios, including property acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing activities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and brokers, with a particular focus on potential institutional investors both locally and offshore.
- Build and lead a high-performing investment team, coaching and mentoring team members.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in property, finance, economics, business, or a related field. A Master's degree is desirable.
- 10+ years of experience in real estate investment, property funds management, investment banking or corporate property finance.
- A deep passion and understanding of real estate investment markets, with a focus on industrial, residential or build to rent sectors.
- Must have demonstrated success in capital raising and relationships with institutional capital locally and offshore.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing investment strategies that deliver strong returns with a core focus on real estate investment.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data and make informed investment decisions.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to build and manage high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance, and governance standards.
