GIS Officer - Snowy 2.0
Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy.
Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.

**The Role**:
We're looking for a GIS Officer to join our Snowy 2.0 team, based in Cooma. This position is responsible for maintaining GIS services on the Snowy 2.0 Pumped Hydro Project. The key purpose of this role is to proactively work with the Owner's Team and Contractor to ensure that the Employers Requirements (ER's) with respect to GIS are delivered and validated in accordance with the Contract.

**Additional responsibilities include**:
Maintain and coordinate digital data across multiple teams

Produce high quality cartographical figures and dashboards for technical reports and teams

Maintain and update GIS databases

Follow QA/QC procedures and maintain high standards of quality with all spatial data management and deliverables

**We're looking for someone with**:
Relevant qualification in a spatial information or surveying related discipline or relevant experience in GIS

Experience in the use of mapping (for example ESRI ArcGIS, MapInfo, QGIS etc) and database software products

An understanding of geospatial data capture, processing, manipulation and map production

Good interpersonal skills and capacity to work effectively within a team environment and to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
