**About the role**

As Portfolio Management Office Lead - you will be establish a PMO or Portfolio Office to drive successful TSCCE project and BAU outcomes that is fit for purpose for the organisation. You will be accountable for providing the visibility of TSCCE’s cost centre budget associated as well as project initiatives. You will be accountable for a small team that will collaborate to deliver projects/products that are aligned with Coles business objectives.

**Your **key responsibilities will include**:

- Contribute to Technology project funded initiatives
- Budgeting, forecasting, and tracking of actual expenditure for projects estimated to ensure estimations are continually refined
- Procurement management for vendor, statement-of-works, licensing and maintenance requirements as appropriate
- Establishing and operating the Portfolio Management Office across TSCCE for large and complex projects and programs.
- Driving improvements and uplifting PMO capabilities to meet project delivery maturity
- Developing and implementing robust processes, managing the overall governance and controls
- Refining existing PMO practices in line with changing requirements and establishing best practices and frameworks.
- Lead/manage/mentor PMO team members.
- Managing other adhoc items such as: mySay action tracking, managing grad rotations, assisting team events, huddles, collating end of year achievements, and tracking excess leave.
- Coach team towards the desired behaviours, shared values, and high performance (as individuals and as a team)
- You will drive engagement and morale
- Provide feedback and guidance.
- Promoting team inside / outside of Coles

**About you & your skills**

You are an experienced and proven people leader with excellent interpersonal & leadership skills alongside analytical & problem-solving skills along with
- At least 8 years senior or managerial IT experience, as a Non-Functional Engineering Manager of digital products in an agile environment, with experience delivering large programs of work, including operation support.
- At least 10 years IT experience, in a PMO capability or Consulting role, in a waterfall or an agile environment, with experience delivering large programs of work, as well as minor works, including project to BAU considerations.
- Background working in a PMO or Portfolio Office where you have instigated changes and/or established a PMO from scratch.
- The establishment of template, repots, and other tools to increase efficiencies, transparency and delivery excellence.
- Planning and tracking project resources, preparing budgets, monitoring progress, and keeping stakeholders informed
- Advanced understanding of all aspects of the technology’s broader operational environment (i.e. processes, procedures, associated toolsets, operating systems, etc.).
- A passionate people leader who has lead members from diverse disciplines and backgrounds, running in multi speed and cadence delivery methods
- Expert interpersonal skills and leadership capabilities that enable you to communicate and manage relationships across the organisation - from your reports, peers, vendors and partners, stakeholders to senior executives
- Experience using metrics to measure, influence and initiate change and behaviours that directly impact customer success
- The ability to tell a story, ensuring you can translate complex technical solutions and advice into clear, specific information that is understood by all
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence and persuade outcomes / direction
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Experience managing relationships with senior leaders and stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills
