About the role

We’re seeking a Test Manager to accountable for the delivery of end-to-end Testing outcomes for Customer Platforms. The Testing Manager's team scope covers all types of Testing excluding User Acceptance Testing (UAT) done by the business.

A key part of the role is ensuring that best practice test standards are created and implemented, with a focus on being scalable, re-usable and auditable. The role is to be proactively involved in the continual maturity of the Transurban test automation capability and will drive the Platform test practice and be a key contributor in the broader Transurban testing practice.

Day-to-day, you will:

- Champion and promote, capability uplift from Platform Testing patterns and automation with the broader Transurban testing practice.
- Testing thought Leadership ensuring consistency, and alignment across testing technology domains (Tolling; Customer & Billing; Digital; ITS; Roadside) in consideration of enterprise testing patterns and solutions.
- Lead and manage the Regression and Automation Test Services across both Functional (Regression testing) and Non-functional testing domains (Performance and Operational Acceptance testing)
- Work collaboratively with the at all levels to establish and manage testing outcomes for the agreed portfolio of work.
- Be able to work in traditional and (new) agile ways of working and lead agile teams to deliver value and showcase these value outcomes to Stakeholders / Business Owners on a regular basis.
- Manage team budgets and project costs as input to planning.
- Provide regular leadership, mentoring and coaching to all team members.
- People Leadership - Conduct effective annual performance reviews and align performance plans to business goals and company values

This role will suit someone with a curious mind and transferrable skills and experiences, including:

- Experience at managing a development teams (both people and technical) made up of a blend of internal and partner resources
- Experience at setting technical direction & extensive experience with quality assurance processes.
- Software testing background with experience in various Testing Methodologies
- Agile ways of working experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with stakeholders at all levels including the management of direct reports.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to transform functional requirements and solutions that can be tested to meet the goal of the solution.
- Self-motivated with good organisational skills.
- History of team/customer engagement and staff motivation
- Ability to identify critical path and manage effectively.
- Ability to effectively promote ideas
- Experience working in an outsourced service delivery model and/or vendor management
