About the role
The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver workshops, training programs and activities that support client centred care and support service delivery requirements and promote skill and capability development.
The Clinical Educator will provide assistance in overview of design, development, coordination, delivery and evaluation of education related to clinical practice in clinical care where requested at Calvary services, coordinate the mandatory training requirements for staff and be responsible for the credentialing of Support Workers as required, completing required documentation post training
The Clinical Educator will ensure that educational and other strategies reflect clinical evidenced based best practice and are aligned with agreed workforce development KPI’s. This will be achieved by establishing educational partnerships with internal Calvary key personnel and external stakeholders including managers, clinicians, education staff, suppliers and relevant professional organisations.
The Clinical Educator will act as a mentor, coach for all new and current clinicians and Support Workers and play a key role in the delivery of quality clinical services and client care.
**Your main duties will include, but are not limited**:
Developing and delivering workshops, training programs and activities across both Home Care and Aged care sites.
Promoting and assisting with skill and capability development.
Evaluating training and education delivery and resources to reflect clinical evidenced based best practice.
Coordinating and delivering practical mandatory training requirements to ensure currency and compliance for staff.
Using adult learning principles, plan, prepare and deliver short courses, workshops, blended learning programs and resources that align with targeted learning outcomes.
Undertaking competency assessments, monitoring progress and providing feedback pertaining to education achievement or individual needs as required.
About you
Current unrestricted AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Current Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
Experience in implementing and evaluating clinical education within a community, acute health or aged care setting
Highly developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work independently and as part of a team.
