**About the Role**:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people facing truancy, attendance, and engagement challenges? This Expression of Interest (EOI) invites dedicated individuals to join our dynamic team as a Social Worker specialising in truancy intervention. We are seeking committed professionals who will work collaboratively with children, families, educators, and community partners to promote school attendance and academic success.

Key responsibilities will include:

- Utilise comprehensive assessment processes to identify factors contributing to truancy and engagement issues. Implement evidence-based interventions tailored to individual, school-wide, and partnership levels.
- Deliver a broad range of professional services, including individual and group interventions, to address truancy concerns. Develop multi-tiered strategies in collaboration with school staff and families to enhance attendance and engagement.
- Assist in the induction and professional development of truancy staff. Provide supervision for student placements and collaborate with the Senior Social Worker and Team Manager as needed.
- Manage cases involving learners requiring multiple services within and outside the agency. Prioritize workloads and develop efficiency initiatives to ensure effective case management.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and work practices. Contribute to research, evaluation, and the development of innovative practices to meet evolving community needs.
- Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure proper service delivery practices. Address client feedback and contribute to investigations for systematic improvements.
- Liaise with non-governmental and governmental organizations to support the provision of expert services.
- Provide strategic information through data analysis and interpretation.

**Qualifications**:

- Essential an appropriate degree or equivalent which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

**Special Conditions**:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN -EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

**Remuneration**:
AHP2: $86,950 - 100,729 per annum (1.0 FTE), plus superannuation.
