**The Opportunity**

Come and discover the opportunity to join our **Sustainability** team in our Australian Steel Markets business as a **Sustainability Advisor**, located in Mascot NSW.

We strive to develop, manufacture and sell steel products and solutions in a manner that creates a sustainable future. This requires a focus on continuous improvement, by adopting new operational methods and anticipating new, sustainable products that will address future needs.

**What Will You Do?**

Engaging with our internal and external experts, you will:

- conduct research required to support our current and future sustainability value propositions
- coordinate with internal departments (Manufacturing, Innovation, Product Stewardship) to develop and maintain sustainability credentials and research
- support the maintenance and further development of our Life Cycle Inventories (LCI), Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) and ecolabels
- contribute to the Sustainability Department’s emerging issues, risks and opportunities identification process
- assist in the development of messages, tools and resources through the provision of technical expertise in sustainability
- engage with industry through events such as conferences and industry forums
- support the customer experience through responding to customer enquiries and delivering presentations on BlueScope’s sustainability credentials

**More About You**

As an experienced sustainability professional with experience in the built environment or sustainability consultancy, you are looking to build and grow your sustainability career. You will be comfortable working in a team environment, and actively collaborate and contribute to your team’s success. In addition, you will bring:

- a degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, sustainability or a related discipline
- project management skills including the ability to communicate and engage with a diverse range of technical staff
- robust analytical skills, attention to detail and a inquisitive attitude
- a demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts, develop new skills, and work with autonomy
- effective written and verbal communication skills
