**Your new role**

This exciting new role will report to the Area Maintenance Manager and aim to lead the execution of Centurion’s Rocklea workshop and employees within the maintenance structure for the area.

**Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Responsibility to create a positive environment that inspires employees & contractors to work safely, efficiently and effectively to meet departmental targets
- Oversee the workshop operations daily ensuring all vehicles and equipment are mechanically sound, safe, and compliant to Government legislation and to customer requirements
- Ensure costs are kept within budget for the workshop & fleet cost centres
- Manage staffing levels in the workshop and ensure hours are reasonable while meeting the requirements of the business
- Develop and train all employees to an autonomous level ensuring they are aware of Company targets and performance levels relating to safety & customer service
- Liaise with Internal Customers to ensure all vehicles and equipment is available as per customer requirements
- Ensure all paperwork processes are completed accurately and efficiently
- Participate & contribute to weekly/monthly operations meetings with Transport Operations
- Produce weekly report for submission to Area Manager
- Participate & contribute to recruitment and retention strategies
- Performance management of staff
- Using CI tools and initiatives to continually optimise workshop processes to deliver improved outcomes

**What you’ll bring**
- Heavy Diesel Mechanic Transport Trade Qualification
- Sound mechanical aptitude and knowledge
- Proven ability to supervise and motivate personnel
- Good organisation and planning skills
- Ability to comply with company procedures and policies
