Jamboree Community Kindergarten (located in Jamboree Heights) is a well-resourced kindergarten offering beautiful and well-maintained grounds with natural play spaces and a nurturing, stimulating and educational centre with an aesthetically pleasing environment for children to play and learn with other children, parents, and educators.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director/Teacher to join our team at JCK. Experience in an innovative kindergarten is essential as we evolve to further meet the needs of our families and local community. As the Director/Teacher, you will play a crucial role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children play, learn, grow, and thrive. You will begin teaching a five-day fortnight (alt Wed/Th/Fri) in term 3 2023 progressing to the role of Director/Teacher in term 4. You will work closely with the volunteer management committee and the current Director.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the daily operations of Jamboree Community Kindergarten, ensuring compliance with all JCK policies and procedures and all relevant regulatory requirements.
- Implement QKLG and C&K Listening and Learning Together Curriculum Approach and the documentation that ensures each child’s learning is visible.
- Engage in reflective practice to enrich children’s learning.
- Create collaborative partnerships.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that respects the diversity of children and their families.
- Supervise and support a team of dedicated educators, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with parents and families to build strong partnerships and promote open communication.
- Maintain accurate records, including attendance, assessments, and other documentation required by C&K and regulatory bodies.
- Manage the kindergarten's budget, resources, and facilities to ensure efficient operations and a safe environment for children.

Qualifications:

- Hold an ACECQA recognized qualification in early childhood education (minimum Bachelor level or equivalent)
- Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an early childhood setting, with a solid understanding of the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standards, the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF"), Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) and Listening and Learning together C&K’s Curriculum Approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff members and local community organisations.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- An understanding of Kidsoft or similar
- Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma & Anaphylaxis certification.
- Possess a current and valid Blue Card or Exemption Card
- A genuine passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing exceeding education for young children.
