This Cadetship is offered for an 18 month period to a student or recent graduate of an undergraduate/postgraduate library or information sciences course which qualifies for professional membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).

**The incumbent will**:

- provide information services from online and physical service points across the Monash Health network
- contribute to exciting projects that respond to changing needs and technologies
- complete literature searches and training presentations with guidance from the team’s librarians
- assist with collection development and library systems maintenance and development
- work as part of a leading library team in the health sector
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, the Library Cadet will work to provide a modern and professional library service at Monash Health while gaining practical on-the-job training.

**About Monash Health**

**About You**:

- You are working towards or have recently obtained (within the last 2 years) an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification in librarianship or information science, which will qualify you for Associate membership of ALIA.
- You are passionate about library services and a highly proficient user of web and mobile technologies
- You have customer service experience and a desire to help others
- You have the ability to work at all Library sites, which include Monash Medical Centre, Dandenong Hospital, Casey Hospital, Moorabbin Hospital and Kingston Centre.
