Project Development Support

**Position Summary**
This is a great opportunity to step in or broaden your experience in project development within Renewable Energy sector, specifically large-scale solar and battery storage projects in Australia, mainly Queensland.
We are seeking a self-motivated and organised individual to join our team as Project development Support. As Project development Support, you will work closely with diverse, dynamic team throughout all stages of project development. You will gain valuable exposure to various aspects of project development from initial stage while assisting multiple teas across the Cooperation.
**Key Accountabilities**
Support project managers and other team members by carrying out the followings, but not limited to;
- Land acquisition support: Assist in identifying suitable project sites, coordinating with landowners, and preparing land agreements
- Permitting and environmental approval support: Assist in securing environmental permits and regulatory approvals
- Grid connection studies support: Provide support in conducting grid connection studies, gathering data
- Stakeholder engagement support: Coordinate communication with stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, local communities and landowner
- Organize and maintain project documentation, such as contracts, permits, reports, and schedules
- Track project milestones, ensuring that deadlines and deliverables are met
- Prepare and update project related documents like status reports, presentations, and meeting minutes
- Track project risks and issues, helping the team address these proactively
- Administrative tasks, including supporting the activities of the Managing Director and Samsung C&T Headquarters Korea, preparing reports, and assisting with day-to-day operations
**Requirements**:
- Strong understanding of general project management
- Excellent multi-tasking skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in written and verbal
- Proficient in Excel, Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental, planning or a related field (or higher)
- 1-2 years of experience in renewable energy, utilities, environmental permitting or related field preferred but not required.
- Australian Driver license and good driving skill to facilitate travel as needed for project site visits and meetings
**Job Type**: Fixed term
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $75,000.00 per year
