As the Manufacturing Manager 2IC Traineeship your primary focus is to coordinate and lead activities of the production team to ensure the continuous and efficient running of the shift. Strong organisational skills, succinct communication and leadership skills are required whilst ensuring a safe and “operational excellence” environment.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and lead Manufacturing Team under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager;
- Manage site safety plan objectives and targets;
- Support the business in relation to safety & quality standards & compliance across the Plastics site;
- Participate in the reporting and reviewing of incidents as required;
- e.g. hazards & non-conformances
- Promote continued improvement of the quality and safety culture;
- Conduct Plastics site inductions, ensuring safety competency (incl. contractor management);
- Support site safety committee and relevant safety and quality projects;
- Maintain safety and quality registers; and
- e.g. safety risk, calibration etc.
- Manage site emergency processes and procedures

**To be successful in this position you will have**:

- Be able to display Front Line Leadership skills and experience;
- Have highly proficient in Microsoft tools;
- Ability to learn and develop into a future Site Operations Supervisory role;
- Be able to Build and leverage influential relationships across a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver results; and
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage deadlines.
