**Job description**

Queensland Hydraulics is looking for a driven, dynamic, experienced Fitter / Field Service Technician in a multi-purpose role both workshop and site based. In the workshop you will be responsible for leading a small team of fitters with hydraulic cylinder repair work (disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, test) and hydraulic power unit assembly (pipework and hydraulic component fitting of new systems). At site, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hydraulic (fluid power) systems for client call outs as well as leading site installations for hydraulic projects. You will be supported by a team of engineers to assist with your knowledge and understanding of fluid power/hydraulics

This full-time role suits a person with accomplished problem solving abilities, customer focus, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.

**Qualifications**
- Fitter trade with minimum 5 years experience
- Pipework bending, as well as Hydraulics experience as a field service technician ( we can train the right person)
- Ability to understand production drawings and produce quality workmanship, on time and to stated tolerances

**Tasks & responsibilities**
- Disassembly, repair, reassembly and testing of hydraulic cylinders

Workshop and site work as required
- Oversee and be a role model to young group of apprentices in correct and proven Fitting methods

**Remuneration** (Approximately 90k-120k, including super)
- Workshop rates between $40 -$45 per hour
- Site rates between $60 - $65 per hour (depending on job and location)

Queensland Hydraulics offer full turnkey fluid power solutions that include design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and maintenance. We also design and manufacture a proprietary range of hydraulic cylinders built to international standards as well as offer a hydraulic cylinder repair and precision machining service

**Salary**: $45.00 - $65.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Penalty rates
- Performance bonus

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Salisbury, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
