Experienced Dog Groomer

We’re seeking expressions of interest for an experienced dog groomer to join our brand-new Dog Grooming Salon to be located in the northern suburbs of Perth, commencing early/mid-2023.

**Your responsibilities would include**:

- Dematting and detangling hair as required
- Bathing, conditioning, and drying pets
- Trimming pets’ nails, brushing their teeth, and cleaning their ears
- Grooming and styling pets according to pet owners’ instructions or specific breed standard grooming styles
- Accommodating special requests that pet owners may have
- Identifying health issues in pets, such as ear infections, skin conditions, or tooth decay, and informing pet owners of these observations
- Ensuring that all pets are safe during the grooming process
- Routinely cleaning work areas
- Recommending suitable products to pet owners
- Minimum 3 years’ experience, in a salon environment
- Proven professional grooming experience with relevant qualifications
- Sound understanding of animal behaviour
- The ability to stand for long periods of time
- The ability to treat all animals with compassion
- The ability to lift heavy pets and equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to carry out grooms to a high standard
- Work under time constraints
- Willingness to help promote and grow the business

**Position**:Full time, based on a 5-day week, including Saturdays.

You will be provided with all new equipment necessary to undertake your duties.

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
