Clinical Coder

In this role, you'll assign classifications to inpatient episodes using ICD-10-AM and the Australian Classification of Health Interventions (ACHI) in accordance with the Australian Coding Standards and NSW Health data reporting requirements, ensuring accuracy for quality data collection and appropriate DRG allocation.

**If you have**:

- Completion of a recognised Clinical Coder Course, tertiary qualification in Health information Management, or the equivalent in clinical coding experience in an acute care hospital
- Recent experience and ability to independently and accurately assign ICD-10-AM/ACHI codes and DRGs to all specialty inpatient episodes in an acute care hospital
- Ability to prioritise and manage a variable workload effectively, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of ABF and NSW (or other state) Inpatient Statistical Data reporting requirements
