Subdivisions Inspections Officer

Salary: $74,082 - $86,240 p.a. plus 10.5% Super
- Permanent, Full-Time role

**About the role**
This is a **permanent, full-time** position, working 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 5.00pm) and will be located at **Nowra Administration Building**.

**Duties**
Reporting directly to the Development Engineer, the focus of this position is to:

- Carry out site inspections for road and drainage works and landscaping undertaken by contractors for subdivisions and developments within the City of Shoalhaven.
- Maintain accurate progress records of subdivision and development civil works.
- Share knowledge and expertise within the Development Engineering team and other departments within Council as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Utilise relevant civil engineering experience and qualifications to assist with the delivery of public infrastructure throughout the Shoalhaven Local Government Area.
- Provide hands-on advice to the private development sector and troubleshoot technical issues to achieve compliance with relevant legislation and design guidelines.

**Skills & Experience**
In order to be successful in the position, you will be/ possess:

- Certificate IV in Civil Construction, or equivalent qualification or experience
- Current SafeWork NSW white card (general construction induction card)
- Current SafeWork NSW Prepare a work zone traffic management plan (PWZ) card (or willingness to obtain)
- Extensive experience in construction of civil construction including road and stormwater drainage works
- Confined Spaces Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Class C Driver’s Licence
- Proof of Australian residency or citizenship, or authority to work in Australia (visa)
