**Role Overview**:
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Disability Support Workers to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to residents with complex behaviors and mental health challenges. Your duties will include assistance with daily living activities, medication management, and implementing individualized care plans to enhance the quality of life for our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide personalized care and support to residents in a SIL home setting.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Manage and administer medications in accordance with prescribed guidelines.
- Implement and follow individualized care plans and behavior support plans.
- Monitor and respond to the mental health needs of residents, using appropriate interventions and support strategies.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment, promoting independence and community involvement.
- Document and report any changes in behavior, health, or wellbeing of residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other support staff to ensure comprehensive care.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum of 1 years’ experience working with individuals with complex behaviors and mental health needs (advantageous).
- Relevant qualifications in Disability Support, Mental Health, Community Services, or a related field (advantageous).
- Certification in Medication Administration (advantageous).
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and mental health support.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Current NDIS Workers Clearance (NDISWC), Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
