The Assistant Asset Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery and fulfillment of landlord and tenant lease obligations across a large and diverse portfolio of property assets and related investments. The role will also be actively involved in achieving the Property team’s core objective to protect financial value and deliver long term, sustainable growth.

With the aviation sector booming as we head into 2023, on top of major projects that will underpin the future growth and development of Melbourne Airport and Victoria as a whole, now is a very exciting time to join

**Key responsibilities**:
The role's duties and accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

- Asset Management: tenant and stakeholder influencing and management.
- Property Management: life cycle property management
- Safety focus: continuous improvement, managing lease obligations and compliance oversight.
- Ability to develop long term relationships and negotiate successful outcomes in a tenant facing property management role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of property law, valuation, contract law and property practices and principles
- Business planning and financial skills including the ability to develop budgets, business case development, time and resource planning.
- A clear understanding of cost management disciplines, the commercial building and construction process, risk management and environmental and OHS authorities and responsibilities.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence internal and external stakeholders on sensitive and commercial issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including negotiation, influencing and the ability to create an environment of mutual respect.
- Proven ability to think strategically and work autonomously.
