**The Role**

We are looking for a customer service-oriented Level 1/2 ICT Support Officer to provide technical support to staff in an efficient and accurate manner. You will be considered as the College’s first point of contact, you will resolve routine ICT problems and provide technical support where required. As the face of IT, you will have the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities and be able to communicate effectively. You will be working alongside our ICT Helpdesk Coordinator and ICT Manager.

The role is a permanent position, commencing as soon as possible

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deploy computers and other IT equipment to staff
- Manage day to day administration & operations of systems including desktop, laptop PC's, printers, network equipment & associated servers
- Manage and Monitor service requests and escalate when necessary to the ICT Helpdesk Coordinator
- Monitoring backups

**Essential Skills & Experience Required**:
Ideally you would have 2-3 years’ experience working in Education as a helpdesk/desktop support position with a general understanding of a range of IT systems, software, and equipment
- Competent verbal and written communications skills are of utmost importance
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage tasks within limited time

- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Understanding of basic networking (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP) and Active Directory
- Experienced with Office 365 and SharePoint administration
- Ability to troubleshoot helpdesk issues efficiently and manage helpdesk tickets allocated

**Desirable Criteria**
- Previous experience working in a school environment
- Experience with ITIL framework
- Working experience with VMWare and/or Veeam Backup solutions
- Previous experience with management platforms including Microsoft Intune
- Specialist technical skills that might benefit the schools (such as web/app development, server management, security, advanced networking) is considered a bonus
- Any Vendor specific certificates are highly regarded (Microsoft, ITIL, CISCO, PALO ALTO, VMWare)
