- Total Indicative Remuneration Package: $227,591 - $299,884 MDO2 (pro rata) | 0.4 FTE Part Time, Until Feb 2026

**Join our experienced and collaborative Team in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology Unit at Flinders Medical Centre.**

The Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology brings together staff from academic and clinical backgrounds in medical, surgical, scientific, nursing and allied health to work towards better patient care through an integrated approach to digestive health. The department provides a focus for education and research activities in digestive health

**About the role**:
As the Hepatology Consultant, you will be involved in the management of Hepatology and Liver Transplant inpatients and outpatients, participation in on-call rosters (Hepatology/Transplant and emergency endoscopy) and endoscopy lists (general gastroenterology). ERCP experience is welcomed but not essential. Duties for the role will include:

- Provide a high quality clinical service and clinical leadership,
- Provide appropriate support, direction and training to trainee medical officers and medical students,
- Participating in programs designed to provide personal growth and development,
- Contributing to the supervision of postgraduate students.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent. Appropriate Specialist Qualifications and registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner with Specialist registration; (Gastroenterology and Hepatology), or another qualification as defined in the SA Medical Officers Award,
- Experience in Hepatology and management of Liver Transplant patients,
- Evidence of completed training in Endoscopy, and accredited by the Conjoint Committee for Endoscopy in diagnostic and therapeutic upper gastrointestinal and colonoscopic procedures,
- ERCP experience is welcomed but not essential,
- Evidence of registration with the relevant College for ongoing professional development.
