**Job summary**

Martinus are seeking an Environmental Advisor with experience working on infrastructure projects, for an upcoming opportunity in Ballarat.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Plan and oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, water, waste, noise and air
- Undertake inspections, site sampling, monitoring and auditing requirements (internal and regulatory)
- Provide interpretation of results and regular progress reports against environmental performance targets
- Collaborate with construction teams on environmental management requirements to ensure that we meet our obligations and improve performance
- Support the environmental systems needs of the business including implementation, regular reviews and continuous improvement
- Assist in the management of environmental issues, including incident investigations
- Maintain ISO14001 Accreditation requirements
- Understand and comply with ISCA (Infrastructure Sustainability Council Australia) requirements
- Submit permits and approvals as required
- Develop strong relationships with councils, regulators and other community stakeholders

**Knowledge, Skills and Attributes**
- 3+ years’ experience in an Environmental Advisory role, preferable within large infrastructure projects
- Relevant qualifications in Environmental Science or a related field
- Extensive knowledge of environmental legislation, regulatory compliance and reporting requirements
- Good communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at all levels
- Ability to prioritise demands and handle complex tasks, meet deadlines and adapt in a rapidly changing environment
