About The Role

This role will be based in Newcastle.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement effective inventory planning strategies to meet production and operational requirements.
- Conduct regular analyses of inventory data to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize stock levels.
- Collaborate with the procurement team and various site stakeholders to ensure correct inventory levels are held in order to support maintenance and production functions.
- Implement and maintain inventory control policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular reconciliations and audits to ensure data accuracy.
- Address discrepancies and implement corrective actions to prevent inventory issues.
- Utilize advanced inventory management systems and technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Explore and implement new technologies to improve inventory tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with warehouse, production, and procurement teams to coordinate inventory movements and optimize processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the inventory function.
- Implement best practices and benchmarks for inventory management.

What You’ll Bring
- Proven experience in inventory analysis, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sector.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
