**Who we are looking for?**

Below are some key competencies we are looking for in this role:

- **Visual Merchandising**: Skill in creating visually appealing product displays and layouts to attract customers and drive sales.
- **Forecasting and Planning**: Ability to forecast demand accurately, plan product assortments, and develop inventory strategies to meet sales targets.
- **Communication Skills**: Effective communication with suppliers, vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders to coordinate merchandising activities and ensure alignment with business goals.
- **Negotiation Skills**: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers, vendors, and partners, including pricing, delivery schedules, and promotional opportunities.
- **Customer Focus**: Commitment to understanding customer needs and preferences, and tailoring merchandising strategies to enhance the shopping experience and drive customer satisfaction.
- **Teamwork and Collaboration**: Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with colleagues in areas such as marketing, sales, and operations to achieve common objectives.
- **Attention to Detail**: Thoroughness and accuracy in executing merchandising tasks, including product placement, signage, and pricing.

**Merchandiser Position Requirements**

**1. Valid Driver's License**:

- Access to a reliable vehicle is required for transportation to various retail locations.

**3. Ability to Carry Stock**:

- Availability to work between 8 to 32 hours per week, with flexibility between Monday and Thursday.

**5. Organizational Skills**:

- Strong organizational skills are essential to effectively manage merchandise displays, stock levels, and inventory rotation at multiple locations.

**6. Communication Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary for interacting with store managers, colleagues, and customers.

**7. Attention to Detail**:

- Attention to detail is crucial for ensuring accurate product placement, pricing, and signage in accordance with company standards.

**8. Time Management**:

- Effective time management skills are required to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maximize productivity during merchandising activities.

**9. Problem-Solving Abilities**:

- The ability to identify and resolve merchandising issues or challenges independently, such as out-of-stock items or display discrepancies, is essential.

**10. Team Player**:

- A cooperative attitude and willingness to collaborate with team members and store staff to achieve merchandising objectives.

- A customer-centric mindset to ensure merchandise displays enhance the shopping experience and drive sales.

**15. Previous Experience (preferred)**:

- While not mandatory, previous experience in merchandising, retail, or a related field is advantageous.

**Job Types**: Casual, Contract
Contract length: 1-12 months

**Salary**: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 32 per week
