**The Opportunity**:
Working as the EL1 Learning & Development Manager for this client offers a great opportunity for career growth, as it involves managing a team responsible for the development and evaluation of learning and development products and services. As the EL1 L&D Manager, you would be responsible for overseeing the analysis, design, development, conduct, and evaluation of learning and development programs for the Interim Budgeting and Reporting System. This role requires strong leadership and organisational skills, as you will be responsible for managing a team of professionals and ensuring that the learning and development needs of the organisation are met.

**The Role**:
As the EL1 Learning & Development Manager your responsibilities will include:

- Leading and directing learning and development activities while serving as a liaison between senior management and business areas
- Utilising expert knowledge of learning and development products, services, policies, and systems to provide advice and influence business decisions
- Developing effective solutions that align with the strategic objectives of the IBRS and the finance function, recognising the links between learning and development and the overall people system
- Collaborating with stakeholders to shape and implement learning and development strategy and policy.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships and networks with both internal and external stakeholders to achieve IBRS outcomes and resolve issues
- Initiating and exploring alternative courses of action while considering the implications for learning and development activities, adhering to established frameworks
- Evaluating and establishing best practices in learning and development solutions within the Defence environment

**The Ideal Person**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to build and sustain effective relationships and networks
- Extensive experience with Learning and Development
- Experience leading and managing a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and identify opportunities for improvement

You must be an Australian citizen and have a minimum **Baseline Clearance**, or the ability to obtain one.

**Salary / Rate**:

- $115k $130k + Super
- 18 Month Non-ongoing Contract
