**Position Information**:
At Narrabeen North Public School our goal is to always uphold the professional standards NSW public service values, that enable all students, staff and members of the school community to achieve and thrive. This is built on a culture of collaboration, trust and a sense of belonging.

Narrabeen North Public School has an enrolment of 653 students, with future capacity for 820. We are an inclusive and vibrant learning environment, focused on meeting the broad needs of students by providing quality, differentiated teaching, and learning programs that educate the whole child. Student wellbeing is a priority, and the school is involved. Our strong professional learning community includes a cohesive mix of early career and experienced teachers from across the Narrabeen Elanora Students and Teachers collaboration (NEST) and targeted professional learning focuses on improving teacher quality and best practice in teaching. The school has extensive extracurricular and enrichment programs including school and PSSA sport, choir, band, dance, and drama.

Narrabeen North Public School is undergoing a major capital works project delivering 15 new classrooms, hall, covered outdoor learning area and administration centre.

**Selection Criteria**:
In addition to the general selection criteria, approval to teach infants and/or primary:

- Demonstrated capacity and experience in balancing exemplary classroom practice and coordination of the complex leadership and management role of an Assistant Principal.
- Proven ability to lead with integrity and develop strong collaborative teams characterized by high levels of collective efficacy, relational trust and psychological safety that enable students to benefit from the combined knowledge and expertise of the team.
- A proactive leader with demonstrated expertise in leading curriculum implementation, driven by a focus on evidence-based and data-informed practice.
- Demonstrated ability to positively contribute to whole school wellbeing and behaviour management processes, drawing on a restorative approach to support staff and students to connect, succeed and thrive.

**General Selection Criteria**:
1. Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
- 2. Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs- 3. Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams- 4. Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents- 5.
