The Hub Coordinator is responsible for providing efficient and effective support to the ARC Research Hub and the Hub Director. This position is jointly funded by a grant from the Australian Research Council under the Industrial Transformation Research Hub scheme for the ARC Research Hub for New Safe and Reliable Energy Storage and Conversion Technologies (operating as the ARC Research Hub for Safe and Reliable Energy) (80%) and Nanotechnology Strategic grant (20%). The successful incumbent will play a key role across the Hub to ensure KPI’s are being met as expected.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Provide high-level administrative support to the Hub Director, Deputy Director (external) and other industry project leaders, including organising the Executive Team meetings and Advisory Board meetings, effectively liaising with partners, and the development of Hub staff and student contracts.
- Liaise with industry and research partners to gather input and help the Hub Director finalise the research agenda.
- Promote the activities of the Hub, including development and maintenance of website, social media, marketing materials, and media opportunities.
- Assist the Hub Director with planning of projects, provide support with financial management, and take responsibility for co-ordinating the delivery of projects.
- Plan and prioritise work and critical activities appropriately and recognise barriers to achieving outcomes, find effective ways to deal with them and regularly evaluate and report on progress.
- Navigate appropriate course of action, gain agreement on preferred approach and prepare advice (information, materials, and recommendations) to meet specific stakeholder style and requirements.
- Organise and coordinate Hub and other industry events including seminars, workshops and symposia, visits from national and international guests.

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- A degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive administrative or management expertise in a scientific setting, or
- Relevant experience or qualification in materials science, energy systems or nanotechnology.
- Demonstrated experience in working with multiple stakeholders effectively and within agreed timeframes.
- Financial management ability, including the ability to analyse data and financial reports, manage budgets, and present reliable and accurate information for decision making purposes.
