Wool Buyer

Fremantle Wool Trading Company is seeking a full time Wool Buyer to join our team.

**About us**

Established in 2003, Fremantle Wool Trading is a highly regarded supplier of wool to mills around the world. We are a buyer and processor of Australian wool which exports to fashion industry suppliers and wool manufacturers in Europe and Asia.

**About the role**

We are looking for a Wool Buyer to join our team on a full-time basis. Salary package starting from $50,000 - $55,000.
- Value and appraise show floor wool samples.
- Be able to inspect and buy wool at farm sheds in rural Western Australia as required.
- Have the skills and knowledge to value and inspect wool to ensure it satisfies the export standard specification for the company’s wool contracts in Europe, UK and China.
- Have the ability to liaise with international mills, agents and buyers.

To be eligible for the position, the following qualifications are necessary:

- Relevant qualification (equivalent to a Certificate IV) in wool fashion or wool classing and/or at least 3 years of experience within the role.
- Strong communication skills - ability to speak Italian and / or another language is preferred but not essential.
- Strong work ethic and time management skills

Salary dependent on experience.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Bibra Lake, WA: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
